What is Empowerment for Kids?

I have developed a ten week program which empowers children to realize their own personal power. It allows children to discover their own unique gifts and talents and to feel good about themselves. Most adults must wait thirty or forty years to come to these insights, yet these children will learn the power that is theirs when they learn to accept responsibility for their own actions and begin to understand that they are the captain of their ship.

They get to be the hero of their own story that they create! They will gain a sense of esteem from learning that they are unique, lovable, and capable. Through the various exercises they will come to know how what they think is related to how they feel and ultimately how they act in the world. They will learn social skills that will allow them to accept their own wonderfulness while acknowledging others as well. They will learn that we are all different and unique yet share a common bond of humanity.

The more research we do, we are coming to find out that the truly successful adults are those with emotional intelligence. Children that are self-aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors will be better equipped to handle the changing world we live in today. Children that can communicate effectively and empathize with others will have a huge advantage in solving world problems.

"The problems that exist in the world today cannot be solved by the level of thinking that created them."
